What does Hosea 1:2 to 2:7. Hosea 3:1-3, and
Daniel 4:10 to Daniel 4:37, and
Luke 15:11-32 have in common ?
Hosea talks about a Gody man Hosea takes a harlot Gomer as a wife, who leaves him and plays the harlot and is eventually Gomer is restored to Hosea as is wife.
Daniel talks about a proud arrogant man king Nebuchadnezzar who lost his kingdom for 7 years when he went insane, then his sanity was restored to him after 7 years, and he gained humility, then his kingdom was restored to him.
Luke talks about a man who’s proud son who takes everything that was to be left to him as inheritance and waste it all by living a debauchery life and is humbled and starving, then he is restored to his father.
Hosea looses his wife, and then his wife is restored. Nebuchadnezzar looses his kingdom for 7 years and then his kingdom is restored to him. Luke talks about a man who looses his son for a specified time and then his son is restored to him.
There is an old saying about the 7 year itch, as most relationships and break ups happen after 7 years, and you reading this may have been in such a relationship that broke down, or you know of some relationship that broke down after 7 years. But why & years ? whats so special about the number 7 ?
The number 7 is biblically known by many pastors and churchs and theologians as Gods number, Gods number is 7.
Get any 7 coins of same size and value, use one as a centre piece, then all other 6 around that one coin circles the centre coin perfectly, 7 days of creation and one God ordained as a holy special day, there is 7 days of the week, there is 7 bible holy feast days, 7 plagues that landed on the Egyptians only, there is 7 kingdoms to rule the world and dominate over Gods people from the formation of the Hebrew nation to the return of the Creator,
Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram washed himself 7 times in the Jordan river, Hebrews surrounded the city of Jericho 7 times, Jacob worked 7 years for Sarah and 7 years for Rachael, the 7th year is to be a year of release, and 7 X 7 years and then there was the jubilee year, 7 last plagues and the 7 trumpets prior to the Messiah returning for his people, King Nebuchadnezzar was wild in the wilderness without a kingdom for 7 years, 70 years of prophecy of Daniel 9 – and the last week of the 7 days of the covenant of the Messiah with his people.
And like the year 7, many try to destroy the resemblance and significance of the 7th day or 7 festivals or the 7 year of release, or anything to do with Gods holy number 7 ( no you can not have 7 wives or 7 husbands or 7 intimate boyfriends / girlfriends ). I could imagine Gomer could have possibly abandon Hosea after 7 years after having all them children ( as the 7 year itch thing – always looking for something better but not achieving her goal ), or the prodigal son spent all his fathers inheritance in 7 years and became starving after 7 years, this is just an assumption as it is a parable and not a real event,
