The lyrics of the song “I Want You Back” by Banarama is the inspiration for this post, remembering of the chorus from many years ago. The pop song video above, although some may like the song and for others they may not like the song, it is still is the inspiration for this post. Despite whichever view you have of the song, hope you are still able to relate to this on a personal level and inspire you in a good way.

I would like you to imagine you are truly and deeply in love with someone, and in the past you had a very close intimate relation with this man or woman, and you both shared a special bond with each other.

Then for whatever reason unknown to you they packed up and took all their things and left / abandoned you.

Imagine the heartbreak and devastation you would be going through. It could feel like someone has taken your heart out and there is a huge empty space missing where that other individual used to be. Ironically nobody else could fill that hole & empty space. Day after day and night after night you would be continually thinking of them and wondering ways of how you could get them back and what it would be to be with them again. Day in and day out suffering the heartache and pain of not being there with them, not spending that special time with that man or woman.

For whatever reason, the one you love has left you and gone to be with another. However your love and devotion for that person is so strong that you would do anything to have them back with you. You can never stop thinking about them. This is Exactly the same as God is with you, his beloved bride who he longs to have by his side. like Scripture says, can a woman forget the child of her womb ? although she may forget, I will NEVER forget you, see, I have engraved you on the palm of my hand. Isaiah 49:15. Scripture also says that He longed to be with you and embrace you like a chicken does with her little chicks. Matthew 23:37 But you were not willing.

Scripture says how much you are loved when Our heavenly father says, I would have given you this and that and so much more, and if that were not enough, he would have even given you more, 2 Samuel 12:8

There is no height or length or depth or time limit to the great love God has for you, whether you are good or evil God will still bless you, but sometimes not, but Scripture again says that he sends the rain ( blessings ) on the good and the evil, Matthew 5:45

Scripture says we ALL have gone astray

I have come to save that which is lost, I have called sinners to repentance

WE all have gone astray and rebelled against what we all know to be Gods ways, and there is a price to pay for disobedience and rebellion, sometimes people suffer the consequences of their continual rebellion in this lifetime – while others may suffer the consequences at their resurrection. Either way there is a price to pay for each and every single lie and false accusation and abuse and so forth. However Gods love for his rebellious children is strong, his love for his bride is strong.

Imagine you have a child or a wife or a husband who is in trouble, would you not do absolutely everything to protect them from any and all bad things ? would you not want to protect your beloved family member whether it be your child or wife or husband of any consequences of their or someone elses actions ? God is EXACTLY the same. he loves you so much he does not want to loose you, but infact he wants you to be back with him, just as the song says, he wants you back and he does not care what he has to do, and he showed and expressed his love by literally giving his life to pay for the consequences of your own actions, like a parent taking the punishment that was due for their child, if your child stole a $20 item from a shop or broke something in a shop worth $20, you the parent of that child would pay the $20 for it, you pay the consequences of your child, likewise God will never leave or forsake you, but will always be your ever enduring love and support, whether you acknowledge him or not, whether you accept him or not, whether you like him or not, whether you pay him any attention or not. He will always love you and always have the best hopes and plans for you, Jeremiah 29:11.

And ultimately HE is the one who paid the price for your life and freedom. 1 Corinthians 6:20

He came to set you free.

Sometimes when one may say, well God was never there for me, or that they do not care about God and so forth, God will never force himself upon you. He loves you so much more than his life that he would even willing – at great pain and expense to himself consent to you not wanting him in your life. Luke 9:52-56 If he knows you do not want him to pass by you and not wanting him in your life, he will oblige by not entering into your life. Even though you were purchased at a great price 1 Corinthians 6:20

Imagine that there was a young man who was so in love with a beautiful young woman, and I am sure you all seen videos about such things, where the young man is always being there to help the young girl because he loves her so much, if she forgets her phone, he goes and picks it up to give it back to her, yet she scolds him for it, if she is short of money for lunch then he makes up the short fall, if she get into trouble with other guys mocking or picking on her and trying to rob her of her items, he will always come to protect her and defend her, yet she still is harsh to him for protecting her, he was always there to give her a lift to the shops or a spare phone if hers is flat etc, but she always rejected him being around, yet she always hang around those who were only there to use her for what they could get out of her and never cares anything of her. They always made overwhelming demands upon her while they care nothing about her well being. Although the other young man who loves her so much was only wanting the very best for her, she scolded him and pushed him away and wanted nothing to do with him. eventually he gives in and stops trying to help & protect her, and low and behold her life comes crashing in, only for her to realise that the man she was pushing away was the only one out there who genuinely cared about her well-being. But he being the gentleman he was, he obeyed her request by avoiding her and not having anything more to do with her, just like Yahushua / Jesus did in Luke 9:52-56.

Remember although you may push God out of your life, and he is being obedient to your request, remember God has also said I will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. As said in Hebrews 13:5.

God does not ever leave us, but we leave God, Jeremiah 7:24. The further we leave God the further away we are from God, and the further we are away from HIS ways, and pride puffs up thinking that we are following the true path when infact if we all were being honest, that way is infact the way of death, you are leaving yourself into the path of death, even though you think you are going on the right path, Proverbs 14:12 – Proverbs 16:25

check and test yourself to see whether your ways are on the correct path 2 Corinthians 13:5

James 4:8 Draw near to God and he will draw nearer to you

There is absolutely nothing, absolutely nothing that is ever going to stop God from loving you and wanting the best for you, whether you want him in your life or not.

This Is how much you are loved, this is how devoted God is to you. This is how much he is dedicated for the very best for you.

He will never leave you, never forsake you, never abandon you, never do anything that is to deliberately harm you for no reason, never lie to you, never play stupid games with you, He will never falsely accuse you of wrong doing, he will never slander you, He will never let you down, He is always there to be your mediator and intercessor, He will always go in to bat for you, HE ALWAYS wants you to be on the winning side.

Never forget this part of scripture that says the following.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

If there is nothing, and absolutely nothing whether it be in the past, or in the present, or in the future that is able to separate the Love God has for you. There will NEVER be a time in the future where God would not love you with an incredible amount of love. Absolutely NEVER. And he will always be there for you and always want the best for you, even during the hard and trying and difficult times in your life.

Could you imagine someone who loves you this much ?

Even when you have made a complete mess and betrayal of everything. God in his infinite love is always ready to take you back to be with him, as in the example of “the prodigal son” story from our messiah in Luke 15:11-24

Imagine the biggest blunder you have ever made in life, imagine and think of how you have done the worst thing in your life, you may think, they could never forgive me, I have done something so bad that it is not forgivable, remember What is impossible with humanity is not impossible with God, for with God all things are possible, even forgiving your worst horrendous mistakes and sins. Remember when our messiah said the following. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance, AND, I have come so that they may have life, and to have it in abundance. ( Matthew 9:13 – John 10:10 )

God has come to forgive you, are you capable of allowing yourself to be forgiven ? are you capable of coming to him to admit your short fallings and failures and sins and wrong doings ? Are you capable and willing to allow God to forgive you ?

Despite all this, you are someone worth loving, you are beautiful the way you are, someone things you are so very special and believes you are worth dying for, someone is willing to give their life for you and to you, infact that someone has already dedicated their life to you, are you willing to surrender yourself to the one who has given their life to you ? are you willing to surrender your life to someone who only has the very best thoughts and plans and intentions for you ?

Like a devoted loving husband to his wife and children, God is always there for you to protect and provide and defend you, He wants to be with you and to live with you and be your great provider and protector. Remember, there is no limit to the amount of love he has for you, and there is nothing in the past / present / future that is capable of separating his love he has for you.

He has already shown he is devoted to you, would you be willing to be devoted to him ?
